Four-Armed Chenrezig Spiritual Sculpture | Embodiment of Universal Compassion
Defined by a serene expression and graceful composition, this Four-Armed Chenrezig Spiritual Sculpture measures 8.46”/21.5 cm in height, rests on a 6.69”/17 cm base, and weighs 1.4 kg. Himalayan artisans have meticulously shaped the copper body before applying luminous 24K gold gilding and precise acrylic painting, bringing refined definition to the crown, ornaments, flowing garments, and lotus pedestal. Seated in the meditative vajra posture, his central hands cradle a wish-fulfilling jewel before the heart, while the outer hands traditionally hold a crystal mala and lotus flower. The four arms express the boundless compassionate activity extended toward all beings across the four directions. Revered throughout Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism as the embodiment of universal compassion, this sacred figure supports meditation, inspires loving-kindness, and serves as a meaningful presence within a personal altar or contemplative space.
Four-Armed Chenrezig is depicted with four hands representing the Four Immeasurables: loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. His central hands are joined at his heart in Anjali Mudra and hold a wish-fulfilling jewel, symbolizing the compassionate aspiration to relieve every being from suffering. His upper right hand holds a mala, representing continuous mantra recitation and ceaseless compassionate activity, while his upper left hand carries a blossoming lotus, signifying purity and awakened wisdom arising beyond worldly afflictions. The small figure of Amitabha Buddha above his crown identifies Chenrezig as a member of Amitabha’s lotus family and expresses their spiritual connection. His jeweled crown and bodhisattva ornaments represent enlightened qualities, while the vajra posture and lotus seat convey meditative stability, purity, and an unwavering commitment to guide all sentient beings toward liberation.
