This statue of Amitayus, the Bodhisattva of Long Life, depicts the deity seated in the padmāsana (lotus posture) atop a blooming lotus base, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. He performs the dhyāna mudrā (gesture of meditation), with both hands resting in his lap and holding a kalasha, a sacred vase containing the nectar of immortality. Amitayus wears an ornate five-pointed crown representing the Five Dhyani Buddhas, along with finely detailed ornaments and flowing garments that highlight his enlightened nature, embodying boundless life and vitality.
