Covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect, this masterpiece exudes both elegance and divine energy.
Guru Rinpoche is seated in the "royal ease" posture, symbolising his authority over the spiritual and material realms. Held in his right hand at heart level, it symbolises indestructible compassion and wisdom. Skull Cup: In his left hand, it contains a vase of immortality filled with nectar, representing deathless wisdom. Guru Rinpoche wears a five-petaled lotus hat with symbolic elements such as the sun and moon (wisdom and skillful means), a vajra top (unshakable samadhi), and a vulture feather (highest realisation). His face combines serenity and wrathfulness, reflecting both compassion for sentient beings and his ability to subdue obstacles. Mandarava (Right): An Indian princess who became an accomplished yogini. She holds a longevity vase, symbolizing spiritual attainment. Yeshe Tsogyal (Left) and A Tibetan princess regarded as Guru Rinpoche’s main disciple. The throne is adorned with intricate carvings, including lotus petals symbolizing purity.
