The Handcrafted Sculpture of Machig Labdron, the revered Tibetan yogini and founder of the Chöd practice, stands at 10.6”/27cm in height with a base width of 7.3”/18.5cm and weighs 1.59 kg. Made from a copper body, it is richly adorned with 24K gold gilding, detailed acrylic paintings, and carefully placed gemstones that enhance its divine presence. The statue reflects the profound wisdom and spiritual strength of Machig Labdron, embodying her dedication to cutting through ego and delusion. Machig Labdrön is depicted with a serene white body, symbolizing purity and the embodiment of enlightened wisdom. Her right hand holds a damaru (ritual drum), symbolizing the sound of emptiness (śūnyatā) and the rhythm of compassion that dispels ignorance. Machig Labdrön (1055–1149) was a highly esteemed Tibetan yogini, the creator of the Chöd practice, which combines Bonpo and Buddhist principles. Her life's work blended tantra, mantra, and meditation, creating a new path of spiritual practice that combined wisdom and compassion.
