Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, is the embodiment of boundless compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. Regarded as one of the most revered bodhisattvas, he vows to assist all sentient beings on their path to enlightenment, deferring his own Buddhahood until all suffering has ended. Often depicted with multiple arms and eyes symbolizing his all-encompassing awareness, Chenrezig embodies the infinite compassion of all Buddhas. He is especially associated with the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum," which invokes his compassionate energy. His presence serves as a powerful reminder of selfless love and the aspiration to alleviate suffering in the world.
