This Handcrafted Vairocana Sculpture: The Cosmic Buddha, represents the cosmic Buddha, who embodies universal truth and enlightenment. This statue stands 18.9" (48 cm) tall and has a base width of 12.4" (31.5 cm), weighing 9.53 kg. It is made of oxidized copper, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.

Vairocana Buddha is depicted seated in padmasana (lotus posture), symbolizing purity and spiritual perfection. His hands are held in the Dharmachakra mudra, the gesture of turning the Wheel of Dharma, representing the continuous teaching and transmission of wisdom (prajñā) that leads beings toward enlightenment.

Vairocana is regarded as the Primordial Buddha in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the universal, formless essence of enlightenment. As the central figure among the Five Dhyani Buddhas, Vairocana symbolizes the pure, undivided nature of mind and the profound wisdom that perceives things as they truly are, free from dualism. Associated with the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, he reflects the understanding of śūnyatā (emptiness), where all phenomena are seen as interdependent and devoid of inherent self. Vairocana is often viewed as the source from which all Buddhas arise, embodying the all-pervading nature of awakening and the illuminating clarity of enlightenment.

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
