This Handmade Copper Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture is a beautiful representation of the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama. It stands at 17.3”/44cm in height and 14.2”/36cm at the base, weighing 8.57 kg. Made from a copper body with 24K gold gilding, it is further detailed with gold and acrylic paintings. Expertly crafted by skilled Nepali artisans, this statue embodies the serene and enlightened presence of Shakyamuni Buddha, making it a powerful addition to altars, meditation spaces, or sacred collections.

Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted in a calm, meditative state with half-closed eyes, embodying profound inner peace and an awakened presence. His right hand is in the bhūmisparśa mudrā (earth-touching gesture), signifying the moment he called the Earth to witness his enlightenment. His left hand holds an alms bowl, symbolizing renunciation and the simplicity of the monastic path. Atop his head rests the uṣṇīṣa, representing supreme wisdom, while his hair is styled in snail-like coils, referencing the well-known story of snails protecting him from the sun during prolonged meditation. He sits gracefully in the vajra posture on a moon disc lotus base, conveying stability, spiritual purity, and unwavering focus. This refined iconography honors the profound presence of the historical Buddha—serene, dignified, and deeply symbolic.

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism. Born as a prince in ancient India around the 5th–4th century BCE, he renounced his royal life in search of a solution to human suffering. After years of meditation and spiritual practice, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and became the Buddha, meaning “the Awakened One.”

Consecration Service Available
Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

Each piece is created with great care and devotion. However, if for any reason you need to return your item, we're here to help.

1. If you're not fully satisfied, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original condition. Once we receive the item back, we will process your refund.

2. In Case of Customs Return, where the package is returned to us from customs due to incomplete documentation, unresponsiveness, or refusal to accept the parcel by the receiver, we will deduct certain percentage of the order value to cover the international shipping and handling costs.
