A Captivating Handmade Maitreya Buddha Sculpture, Embodying Future Compassion

This magnificent Handmade Maitreya Buddha Sculpture is meticulously handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, reflecting the enduring traditions of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. Standing 22.6 inches (57.5 cm) in height with an 11.8-inch (30 cm) base and weighing 6.78 kg, this elegant sculpture is expertly crafted from a copper body and beautifully finished with gold coloring, gold painting, and vibrant acrylic painting. Its graceful proportions, intricate detailing, and refined finish make it a striking centerpiece for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or distinguished spiritual collections.

The sculpture depicts Maitreya Buddha standing gracefully upon a beautifully crafted lotus pedestal with both hands held at the heart in the Dharmachakra Mudra (gesture of teaching). Behind his shoulders are lotus stems supporting a Dharma wheel on one side and a water vase on the other, both characteristic attributes of Maitreya. His serene expression is complemented by finely painted facial features, elongated earlobes, tightly curled blue hair, and a radiant aureole intricately carved with floral motifs. He is adorned with an elegantly patterned lower garment, jeweled ornaments, and delicately painted details that highlight the exceptional craftsmanship of Nepali artisans.1
