The Handmade Sculpture of Lotus-Born Master Guru Rinpoche stands at 10.6”/27 cm in height with a 7.1”/18 cm base and weighs 2.40 kg. This statue represents Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), the great tantric master who brought Buddhism to Tibet. The figure is gilded with 24K gold, gold and acrylic paintings, copper body. Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is depicted in a regal and meditative posture. He holds a Vajra (symbolizing power and compassion) in his right hand and holds a skull-cup containing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity and wisdom in his left hand. The khatvanga, a trident ornamented with symbolic components reflecting his tantric attainment and the union of wisdom and compassion, rests on his left shoulder.
