Description

Traditional Home Decor Buddha Shakyamuni Statue

We have exquisitely hand-sculpted the Home Decor Buddha Shakyamuni Statue in a traditional Himalayan style made in Nepal. In the statue, we depicted the deity with his right hand outstretched to the soil in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, a witness motion. The planet is being "called to witness" to his eventual victory over the seductions and illusions of the material world, symbolized by the evil Mara. His left hand is doing the contemplative Dhyana Mudra with its palm facing up on his lap. This figure can be used in various Buddhist rituals and meditation exercises. We used an oxidized copper body to mold the figurine. Acrylic paints are used to highlight the attributes of the deity.

This statue of Gautam Buddha has accurate traditional iconography and fine details.

Size: 13.7"/35cm (Height) x 9.4"/24cm (Base)
Weight: 4.43 kg
Material: Oxidized Copper Body, Acrylic Paintings

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
