Copper Lokeshwor Statue with Antique Finish

This Copper Lokeshwor Statue with Antique Finish stands 17.7” (45 cm) tall and 6.5” (16.5 cm) wide at the base, weighing 3.38 kg. Handcrafted from a solid copper body, it is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. The antique finish lends the piece a timeless and sacred appearance. The detailed craftsmanship highlights the serene expression and flowing adornments of Lokeshwor, making it a perfect addition to altars, personal shrines, or spiritual art displays.

In his iconography, Lokeshwor wears a graceful crown and performs the varada mudra (gesture of generosity) with his right hand and the vitarka mudra (gesture of teaching and discussion) with his left. He is elegantly dressed in traditional lower garments richly decorated with gemstones, and a swirling scarf encircles his figure as he sits atop a detailed lotus base. Lokeshwor, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is one of the most revered Bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism, especially in Tibetan traditions. The name "Lokeshwor" comes from the Sanskrit "Loka" (world) and "Ishwara" (lord)—meaning “Lord of the World” or “The One Who Looks Upon the World with Compassion.”
