This Namgyalma, deity of long life statue, is hand-carved and gilded with pure 24K Gold. Namgyalma is also known as Ushnisaviajaya, and she is one of the three long-life deities. Namgyalma is a deity of long life and cleansing, having three faces, each of which has the third eye. She has calm, semi-wrathful, and wrathful expressions. Her calm presence in a costume, perched on a lotus seat, represents the elimination of calamities. Her other aspect denotes longevity and blessings, while her wrathful look denotes demon defeat. Her headdress and exquisite jewels and ornaments complete her costume. Vajra, an arrow bow is held in each of her eight hands and one in granting gesture with an eye. Her shoulder is draped on a rich long scarf.
