This exquisitely carved Buddhist statue of Guru Padmasambhava makes use of delicately created traditional Himalayan themes and motifs. The statue comprises full oxidized copper giving it that classic antique look. The statue shows the Lotus-Born sitting on a moon disc lotus seat while holding a vajra and a skull vase with a jar of immortality in each hand. He is holding the Khatvanga trident, his celestial ally of bliss and emptiness, in the arc of his left hand.

For most Himalayan Buddhists, Guru Rinpoche is the second Buddha, the Buddha of all forms and teachings of enlightenment, focusing on the tantras.
