Traditional Tibetan Machig Labdron Teachings Practice Statue
Master carvers from Nepal artistically hand-carved the Machig Labdron Teachings Practice Statue at our workshop. The figurine was carved out of oxidized copper. In the statue, the Dakini poses as a dancer while standing on a lotus seat and using her left hand to grasp a drum and a bell close to her hip. Her magnificent ornaments and skillfully crafted halo flames are added finishing touches. Every attribute of the deity is hand-carved using a hammer and chisels. We worked arduously and devotedly on the statue for months on end.
This statue of Buddhist Dakini has accurate traditional iconography and fine details and will be a perfect gift to a devotee like you from Nepal.

Machig Labdron was a Tibetan Buddhist master of the Chod lineage during the eleventh and twelfth centuries. Tibetans revere her as a manifestation of Yeshe Tsogyal. Her life is an inspiring story of a committed practitioner, at-times beggar woman, brilliant teacher, mother, and lineage founder. This tradition spread back into the Buddhist motherland of India. It was a cause for great national pride in Tibet. And she left a tremendous legacy of her teachings
