Bernagchen, or "Black Cloak Mahakala," is a principal protector deity of the Karma Kagyu lineage, embodying the fierce and protective aspect of Buddhahood. Revered for his power to eliminate obstacles on the path to enlightenment and to guard the Dharma, Mahakala's presence is invoked for strength, protection, and wisdom. His wrathful form, while intimidating, is a manifestation of his compassion, symbolizing his commitment to destroy negativity and guide practitioners towards spiritual liberation.
