Handcrafted Majestic Gautama Buddha on Throne – Tibetan Buddhist Statue
This handcrafted Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Gautama Buddha, sits on a grand throne and radiates peace and wisdom. The statue stands 24.4”/62cm tall with a 19.5”/49.5cm base, while the impressive throne reaches 56.3”/143cm in height and 41.7”/106cm at the base, weighing 60.11 kg. It is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, adorned with gemstones, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.
Shakyamuni Buddha sits in serene meditation, his right hand poised in the earth-touching bhūmisparśa mudrā, signifying the moment of his enlightenment, while his left gently cradles an alms bowl, symbolizing renunciation and spiritual discipline. Crowning him are the Five Dhyani Buddhas — Vairocana, Amitabha, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, and Amoghasiddhi — each representing a unique facet of enlightened wisdom. From this majestic crown cascade long pendant earrings, intricately etched with lotus and Dharma Chakra motifs, embodying divinity and the eternal cycle of truth. A gemstone necklace, featuring a sacred conch shell that symbolizes the pervasive sound of the Dharma, graces his chest. Every detail, from his tranquil expression to the ornate jewelry, radiates spiritual nobility and awakened presence.
The throne beneath Shakyamuni is a masterwork of layered symbolism and artistry. At its apex sits a commanding Garuda, the celestial protector who dispels negativity and ignorance. The throne’s sides are guarded by fierce Makara carvings, mythic creatures that shield sacred teachings from harm. Surrounding the seat are delicately sculpted lotus petals, signifying purity emerging from the cycles of samsara. Anchoring the base is a prominent Dharma Chakra, flanked by two lions that embody courage and the fearless proclamation of truth. Beneath them rest three vajras, symbolizing the indestructible nature of enlightened body, speech, and mind. Completing this rare and sacred tableau, Shakyamuni is accompanied by two consorts, heightening the statue’s spiritual depth and majestic presence, making it a truly awe-inspiring centerpiece.
