This grand Maitreya Buddha statue is richly adorned with symbolic iconography. He is seated gracefully on an intricately carved throne, representing royal ease and spiritual authority. He performs the Dharmachakra Mudra, the gesture of teaching, with both hands held at the chest while seated in a double-lotus posture. Two lotuses rise beside him—the right bearing a Dharma wheel, symbolizing his role as the future teacher of the Dharma, and the left supporting a kalasha, representing long life and sacred teachings.
