Manjushri Copper Statue measures 23.8”/60.5cm in height with a 19.3”/49cm base and weighs 14.39 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans, the sculpture features a copper body finished with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding and detailed acrylic painting. The layered gilding creates a rich, luminous surface, while deeply engraved carvings produce a magnificent 3D-like effect, giving greater depth and definition to the robes, ornaments, lotus pedestal, and decorative elements. The intricate carving work is complemented by carefully applied painted details, creating a refined balance of texture, dimension, and color. The combination of traditional copper craftsmanship, layered gold gilding, and meticulous surface detailing reflects the precision and dedication of Nepalese Himalayan metal artisans.
The figure is seated in the traditional lotus posture on an elaborately carved lotus pedestal, with a serene expression and youthful appearance. The right arm is raised and holds a large sword of wisdom, while the left hand is raised near the chest with the palm facing outward. A lotus stem rises behind the left shoulder and supports a scripture, representing the teachings of transcendent wisdom. The figure wears an elaborate five-jeweled crown, large circular earrings, layered necklaces, armlets, bracelets, and richly decorated garments. Blue accents and multicolored gemstones are incorporated throughout the crown, jewelry, and shoulder ornaments. The robes feature finely engraved floral and scrolling patterns, while flowing decorative elements extend around the body. The lotus pedestal and surrounding ornamental details are also deeply carved with repeated floral motifs, creating a richly detailed sculptural composition.
