Golden Manjushri Statue: The Supreme Wisdom Bodhisattva
This Manjushri Statue, known as the Supreme Wisdom Bodhisattva, stands 9.1” (23 cm) tall with a 7.1” (18 cm) base and weighs 1.65 kg. Handcrafted from copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.
Manjushri is depicted seated in the lotus posture (padmasana), embodying serene wisdom. In his right hand, he holds a flaming sword symbolizing the cutting of ignorance, while his left hand performs the vitarka mudra, holding a lotus flower that supports the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra on top. A swirling scarf gracefully adorns him, enhancing the statue’s elegant and contemplative presence.
