Traditionally Hand Carved Medicine Buddha Statue
This is the statue of Medicine Buddha (Healing Buddha) also known as Bhaiṣajyaguru. He is described as a doctor who heals people through the medicine of his teachings. This traditionally hand-carved buddha statue was sculpted by the artist of Kathmandu. He is adorned with beautifully carved precious gemstones; he is portrayed sitting on a Lotus. Our artists have carefully curated the statue of Medicine Buddha on a copper body and gilded it in pure 24k gold. He has an alms bowl full of long-life nectar in his left hand which is in meditation mudra. Similarly, his right hand is in an earth-touching gesture, holding the "great medicine," the myrobalan plant.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings aim to free sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness while also emphasizing the need to acquire prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
