Adorned in radiant 24K gold, this magnificent and merciful Chenrezig Bodhisattva statue embodies boundless compassion, inviting profound peace into any sacred space. Standing at 47cm and handcrafted on a 39cm premium copper base, this substantial sculpture is covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding and carved with deeply engraved details that create a magnificent 3D-like effect. Its serene presence reflects the heartfelt spiritual devotion and masterful artistry of Nepal’s revered craftsmen.

In this statue, Chenrezig is depicted seated in padmāsana (lotus posture) upon a lotus base. His main hands are joined in anjali mudrā, holding the cintāmaṇi (wish-fulfilling jewel) as a symbol of boundless compassion. The upper right hand holds a rosary (mala), representing his ceaseless vow to liberate beings. In contrast, the upper left hand carries a utpala (blue lotus), a sign of purity and wisdom that rises unstained from samsāra.

Chenrezig, known in Sanskrit as Avalokiteshvara, is the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, revered throughout the Buddhist world and especially in Tibetan Buddhism. He epitomizes the ideal of selfless compassion, delaying his own enlightenment to help all sentient beings achieve liberation. His mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, is one of the most widely recited prayers and embodies his benevolent energy.
