Green Tara is a revered female Bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the 'Mother of Liberation.' She is believed to have arisen from a teardrop shed by Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. As a figure of active compassion, she offers swift protection from the eight great fears and helps practitioners overcome both inner and outer obstacles on their path to enlightenment.
