Handmade Namasangati Statue: The Divine Bodhisattva | Traditional Himalayan Art

The Namasangati Statue: The Divine Bodhisattva, a symbol of enlightened wisdom, stands 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall and rests on a 8.9-inch (22.5 cm) wide base, weighing 3.09 kilograms. Made from copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.

This depiction of Namasangati features multiple arms, each holding symbolic implements. Her two central hands are joined in anjali mudra behind her head, representing devotion and reverence. The middle pair of hands forms the dharmachakra mudra, symbolizing the turning of the wheel of Dharma. Another pair holds a bowl in dhyana mudra, reflecting meditation and inner calm. The upper left hand carries the prajnaparamita sword resting on a lotus, representing the cutting of ignorance with wisdom, while the lower left hand holds a bow, signifying focus and the power to overcome obstacles. The harmonious arrangement of these hands conveys both spiritual mastery and compassionate guidance.
