Palden Lhamo (Tibetan: dPal ldan Lha mo), also known as Shri Devi in Sanskrit, is one of the eight principal Dharma Protectors in Tibetan Buddhism and the only female among them. She is revered as a guardian of the Buddhist teachings, especially the Gelugpa lineage, and is also considered a special protector of the Dalai Lamas. Often depicted riding a mule through a sea of blood, surrounded by flames, she swiftly eliminates obstacles and protects practitioners from negative influences and spiritual hindrances, ensuring the continuity of the Dharma.
