Description

24K Gold Gilded Vajrasattva Purification Deity Statue with Hand-Carved Gemstones

Vajrasattva Purification Deity Statue symbolizes the essence of purity and spiritual cleaning, as well as Vajrasattva's duty as a powerful guardian of wisdom and inner transformation. The figure is Hand-carved in our studio by us, the master craftsmen of Nepal, the centuries-old Buddhist Himalayan craft of creating sacred sculptures. Carved from a copper body, gilded with triple layer 24k genuine gold, deeply engraved carvings, and acrylic paint to highlight the intricate design patterns of the statue.

The deity is depicted seated on the top of a moon disc lotus seat, having a serene facial expression. He is holding a vajra with his right hand and a bell on his left. It took us months of hard work to carve the copper body and adorn it with precious corals and gems. This statue would be a perfect shrine for your meditation practice as a gift from Nepal.

Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
