This Radiant Golden Statue of Guru Padmasambhava stands at 11.2” (28.5 cm) in height and 7.7” (19.5 cm) at the base, weighing 2.77 kg. Crafted from copper with 24K gold gilding and detailed gold and acrylic paintings, it reflects exceptional traditional craftsmanship. Guru Padmasambhava sits in a royal ease pose on a blooming lotus seat, carrying the Kalasha, the vase of immortality, which represents eternal life and spiritual abundance. In his right hand, he grips a vajra, symbolizing unbreakable wisdom, while his left cradles a skull cup with kalasha filled with the nectar of immortality, signifying his mastery over death and the transmutation of suffering. Resting against his shoulder is the khatvanga trident, adorned with symbolic elements, representing his tantric mastery and spiritual power. His five-knotted white hat sets him apart as the great tantric teacher who conquered hostile spirits and established Buddhism in Tibet.

Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, miraculously appeared at the age of eight from a blooming lotus in Lake Dhanakosha, fulfilling a prophecy of Shakyamuni Buddha. He established the foundational teachings of Vajrayana and initiated the practice of tantra in Tibet.
