Expertly crafted from a copper body with 24K gold gilding and detailed gold and acrylic paintings, it reflects the exceptional skill of Nepali artisans. In his iconography, Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted in padmasana (lotus posture) atop a lotus base, representing spiritual purity and enlightenment. His right hand is in bhumisparsha mudra, symbolizing the moment of enlightenment and calling the Earth to witness his awakening. The left hand holds an alms bowl, reflecting renunciation and compassion. He bears an ushnisha atop his head, signifying supreme wisdom and spiritual attainment.

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism and the fully enlightened teacher who revealed the path to liberation from suffering. “Shakyamuni” means “Sage of the Shakya Clan”, referring to his royal lineage. Born in ancient India (around the 5th–4th century BCE), he led a sheltered life as a prince before encountering old age, sickness, and death, which prompted him to seek a solution to human suffering. After years of ascetic practice and deep meditation under the Bodhi tree, he attained enlightenment (nirvana), realizing the nature of suffering, impermanence, and the path to liberation.

There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.

2. In Case of Customs Return, where the package is returned to us from customs due to incomplete documentation, unresponsiveness, or refusal to accept the parcel by the receiver, we will deduct certain percentage of the order value to cover the international shipping and handling costs.
