Manjushri Statue | Embodiment of Enlightened Wisdom
This Sacred Sculpture of Manjushri measures 8.5”/21.5cm in height and 5.9”/15cm at the base, weighing 1.51 kg. Crafted from an oxidized copper body, the sculpture presents Manjushri seated on an intricately carved lotus pedestal. The figure is finished in a deep oxidized copper tone, allowing the carved patterns and sculptural details to stand out across the entire piece. His ornate crown features multiple layered decorative elements with a central crest, complemented by large circular earrings, layered necklaces, arm ornaments, and finely patterned garments. The flowing fabric elements extend outward from his arms and sides, adding definition to the seated composition. The lotus pedestal is formed with repeated carved petals and a structured lower base, while the decorative elements surrounding the figure create a balanced and detailed presentation.
This statue features Manjushri seated in a cross-legged posture with his hands positioned together at the center of his body. A lotus rises beside his shoulder and supports a sword with a detailed blade and ornamental handle. His face is rendered with a calm expression, gently lowered eyes, defined eyebrows, and carefully modeled facial features. The elaborate crown frames his head, while the earrings, necklaces, arm ornaments, and garment patterns add further detail to the figure. The lotus stem, sword, seated posture, ornamental crown, and carved pedestal form the principal visible elements of this Manjushri sculpture. Its compact size makes it suitable for placement on a Buddhist altar, shrine, meditation space, study area, or collection of Himalayan Buddhist sculptures.
