This statue of future buddha Maitreya stands at 11.0 inches (28 cm) in height and 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) at the base, with a weight of 2.13 kg. It is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, adorned with hand-carved gemstones, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.
In terms of iconography, Maitreya is depicted seated upon a magnificent throne. His principal hands form the Dharmachakra mudra, holding lotus flowers that rise gracefully by his shoulders.
