Samantabhadra with Consort represents the primordial union of wisdom and compassion in Vajrayana Buddhism. Known as the Adi-Buddha, Samantabhadra is typically depicted in a deep blue color, symbolizing the vast, limitless nature of ultimate reality. He is shown in union (Yab-Yum) with his white-colored consort, Samantabhadri, who embodies primordial wisdom and emptiness. Both figures are traditionally portrayed without elaborate ornaments or garments, signifying their pure, unconditioned state beyond dualistic concepts. Their embrace symbolizes the inseparable union of method and wisdom, compassion and emptiness, which is the essence of enlightened awareness. Seated upon a lotus throne, the divine couple embodies the highest realization of Buddhahood and serves as a profound reminder of the innate purity and awakened nature present within all beings.

Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri are central figures in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, representing the Dharmakaya, the Body of Truth. Samantabhadra, the male deity, is often depicted as dark blue, signifying the vastness and boundlessness of primordial wisdom. Samantabhadri, his female consort, is white, symbolizing pure luminosity and emptiness. Together, they illustrate the ultimate unity of appearance and emptiness, and the realization of enlightenment as the union of compassion and wisdom. They are revered as the source of all Buddhas and the embodiment of the universe's true nature.
