Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism and the embodiment of enlightenment. Born as a prince in ancient India, he renounced worldly life in search of the truth behind suffering and liberation. After years of meditation and spiritual practice, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, becoming the Buddha, or "Awakened One." His teachings, known as the Dharma, form the foundation of Buddhist philosophy and guide countless practitioners on their spiritual journey toward inner peace, wisdom, and freedom from suffering.
