24k Gold Gilded Hand-carved Shakyamuni Buddha Statue
This traditionally handcrafted Buddha Shakyamuni is sculpted in our studio, In Kathmandu Nepal. We have been sculpting scared deities for generations specializing in bringing Buddhist deities to life. Our Craftsmanship has been passed down to us for generations. We crafted this beautiful sculpture in a copper body and gilded it with 24k genuine gold. The deity is seen seated upon a moon disc lotus with a calm and peaceful expression. The right hand of the deity is seen slightly touching the ground with the middle finger symbolizing the attained enlightenment, while the left-hand holds an alms bowl resting upon his lap in the gesture of meditation.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
