Description
A Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Buddhist Rupa for Inner Peace
This Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Buddhist Rupa measures 8.6 inches (22 cm) in height, rests upon a 6.3-inch (16 cm) base, and weighs 1.43 kg. Crafted from a copper body, the sculpture is enriched with radiant 24K gold gilding and detailed acrylic painting. Its warm painted complexion, finely patterned monastic robe, and layered lotus pedestal give the Buddha a composed presence suited to a personal altar, meditation room, or collection of Buddhist sacred art.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue features the traditional earth-touching gesture, or Bhumisparsha Mudra. His right hand extends over his knee to touch the earth, recalling the moment he called the earth to witness his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests in his lap in Dhyana Mudra, supporting an alms bowl that symbolizes renunciation, spiritual discipline, and freedom from attachment. The raised ushnisha represents awakened wisdom, while the curled hair, elongated earlobes, serene expression, and lotus throne each reflect the Buddha’s transcendence of worldly suffering.

Shakyamuni Buddha, born Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism and the primary figure of refuge for practitioners worldwide. After years of searching for the cause of suffering, he attained complete enlightenment and spent the remainder of his life teaching the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. His life serves as the ultimate archetype for the journey toward wisdom, compassion, and the cessation of worldly attachment.
