Description

Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Dharma Altar Figurine for Serene Devotion

This Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Dharma Altar Figurine stands 16.73 inches (42.5 cm) high upon an 11.42-inch (29 cm) base and weighs 7.94 kg. Formed from a substantial copper body, the sculpture is enriched with radiant 24K gold gilding and detailed acrylic painting. The luminous finish emphasizes the Buddha’s balanced proportions, peaceful facial features, layered monastic robes, and carefully sculpted lotus pedestal. Painted accents bring definition to the eyes, lips, hair, and selected details, creating a gentle contrast against the golden surface. With its considerable weight, broad base, and composed presentation, the sculpture makes a distinguished centerpiece for a Buddhist altar, meditation room, Dharma center, shrine space, or collection of traditional Himalayan art.

Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted seated in the stable vajra posture, wearing the simple robes of an ordained monk. His right hand reaches downward in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, the earth-touching gesture that recalls the moment he called the earth to witness his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests in his lap in the Dhyana Mudra and traditionally supports an alms bowl, representing renunciation, disciplined practice, and freedom from attachment. The ushnisha upon his head signifies awakened wisdom, while his elongated earlobes recall the princely life he renounced. His gently lowered eyes and composed expression communicate deep concentration, compassion, and inner peace. As the historical Buddha and teacher of the Dharma, his presence represents the path of ethical conduct, meditation, and wisdom leading toward liberation from suffering.
