Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Sculpture with Throne: A Beacon of Enlightenment and Peace

This Shakyamuni Buddha Sacred Sculpture with Throne measures 19.3 inches (49 cm) in height and has a 10-inch (25.5 cm) base. It weighs 3.79 kg and is handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans using a copper body. The sculpture is covered with radiant 24K gold gilding and enhanced with carefully applied acrylic painting and gemstone embellishments. The gold finish highlights the sculpted contours while the painted details and gemstones add color and definition to the robes and decorative throne. Its tall composition makes it suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, shrine rooms, and spiritual art collections.

Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted seated upon an ornate throne in the vajra posture and dressed in traditional monastic robes. His right hand extends downward in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, recalling the moment he called the earth to witness his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests in his lap in meditation while supporting an alms bowl that reflects renunciation and disciplined practice. His gently lowered eyes, elongated earlobes, ushnisha, and peaceful expression convey concentration and awakened wisdom. The elevated throne strengthens the dignity of his seated form and presents the historical Buddha as a revered teacher and guide on the path toward liberation.
