Shyama Tara Dharma Statue: Elegant Embodiment of Active Compassion

Handcrafted in Nepal by master artisans, this Shyama Tara Dharma statue radiates transcendent compassion and serene grace. Measuring 53 cm (20.8”) in height with a 41 cm (16.1”) base and weighing 12.58 kg, the goddess Green Tara is depicted in her classic posture of active ease, her right foot extended to swiftly aid sentient beings. Meticulously formed from a copper body, the statue is adorned with hand-set gemstones, delicate acrylic paintings, and covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, with deeply engraved carvings producing a magnificent 3D-like effect. Its balanced proportions and refined detailing make it a commanding centerpiece for meditation, altars, or sacred collections, exemplifying the pinnacle of Himalayan craftsmanship.

Shyama Tara, also known as the Green Liberator, embodies the dynamic energy of swift compassion and fearless intervention. Her right hand extends in the Varada Mudra, symbolizing the granting of blessings and the fulfillment of spiritual aspirations, while her left hand holds a blue utpala lotus in the Kartari Mudra, representing purity, wisdom, and the unfolding of enlightenment. Seated or poised in her characteristic posture of readiness, she exemplifies the active dispelling of internal and external obstacles, including the eight fears. Meditating upon this sacred statue nurtures courage, compassionate action, and the transformative realization of ultimate wisdom.

Green Tara, or Shyama Tara in Sanskrit, is one of the most beloved deities in the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon, born from the compassionate tears of Avalokiteshvara. Recognized as the mother of all Buddhas, she embodies active liberation, wind energy, and swift response to prayers. Her green hue symbolizes vigor, healing, and the continuous growth of enlightened qualities within the practitioner.
