Traditionally Hand Carved Siddartha Gautama Sculpture
The sculpture of Siddartha Gautama Buddha was expertly hand-painted using acrylic colors, carved from a copper body, and gilded with pure 24K gold. With a serene look and an alms bowl in his left hand, while touching the mudra of the earth with his right, the deity is depicted seated atop a moon disc lotus seat. The craftsmanship of sculpting such statues has been passed down from one generation to another over centuries. The molding of the copper with intricate patterns on the robe and acrylic painting took us months of work in our studio.
This Himalayan figure will be a tremendous gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.
