Hand-Carved Siddhattha Gotama Sculpture
The Siddhattha Gotama Sculpture was traditionally handcrafted and was carved using traditional statue carving methods handed down through the generations. The figurine was made of copper and covered in 24k genuine gold. The deity is portrayed calmly on a moon disc lotus and the throne carving lights. His right-hand rests softly doing earth-touching mudra, while his left hand holds an alms bowl over his lap. Practitioners can use the statue for various disciplines, including yoga, meditation, and several auspicious rites. We used a hammer and small chisels to hand-carve the intricate design patterns. To do delicate carvings, artists must have decades of experience as he has to create intricate design patterns on a small surface area. He has to fulfill every minute detail on the statue based on the traditional iconography in Buddhist scriptures. We have hand-painted the deity with different acrylic colors.
This statue will be a lovely addition to your shrine and a wonderful gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

In 563 or 566 B.C.E., a prince was born to a noble family of the Shakya clan in a beautiful park called Lumbini Grove, which lay in the foothills of the Himalayas (in present-day southern Nepal). This beautiful park was not far from the capital city of the Shakya kingdom, Kapilavastu. The prince’s father, King Shuddhodana, named his son Siddhartha. He was a member of the Kshatriya, or royal warrior caste, and his clan lineage, the Gautama's, was ancient and pure.
Young Siddhartha renounced all worldly things in search of the ultimate truth and enlightenment, becoming one of the world's most outstanding religious leaders—Gautama Buddha.
