This beautiful eight-armed Lokeshwor, a form of Avalokiteshvara—the symbol of endless compassion (karuṇā)—stands peacefully, wearing detailed monastic robes. His glowing silver-like skin shines with golden decorations, showing both purity and sacred beauty. Each of his eight arms holds a special object, revealing the many ways he offers compassion: his upper right hand holds a rosary (mālā), symbolizing the continuous cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (saṃsāra) and the practice of breaking free from it; the middle right hand holds a lasso, used to pull beings out of suffering and guide them toward the Dharma; another right hand makes the vitarka mudra, a gesture of teaching and sharing wisdom; and his lower right hand shows the varada mudra, a blessing gesture promising help to everyone. On his left side, his lower left hand holds a kalasha (ritual vase), representing the nectar of immortality and spiritual abundance; above it, his next hand carries an utpala (blue lotus), symbolizing purity and spiritual growth; above that is a trident, representing transformative power; and his upper left hand holds a sacred scripture, symbolizing deep wisdom (prajñā). He stands on a moon disc lotus base, symbolizing peace and an enlightened mind, giving a perfect foundation for his compassionate presence. Wearing a five-pointed crown representing the Five Dhyani Buddhas, his calm and watchful face shows he is always ready to help ease the world’s suffering.
