Divine Amitayus Buddha of Eternal Light

The Buddha of Infinite Life, who is adored as a symbol of longevity, energy, and spiritual blessings, is represented by this handmade Amitayus statue. Crafted from a copper body and embellished with beautiful gold and acrylic paints and 24K gold gilding, this item showcases the exquisite workmanship of Nepali artisans. It encourages attention, wellbeing, and the quest for a long, meaningful life and is ideal for altars, meditation areas, or individual spiritual collections.

Amitayus, who represents enlightenment and purity, is seen sitting elegantly in padmāsana (lotus position) on top of a beautifully crafted lotus foundation. Holding the vase of immortality (amṛta-kalaśa), which represents longevity and spiritual gifts, his hands are in dhyāna mudrā, a meditation gesture. His noble and kind figure is completed with a five-pointed crown that symbolizes the Five Dhyani Buddhas.

Amitayus, also known as the Buddha of Infinite Life, is a revered figure in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He is closely associated with Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light, but Amitayus specifically represents longevity, vitality, and wisdom. Devotees pray to him for long life, freedom from untimely death, and the accumulation of merit and insight.

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
