Himalayan Buddhist Tara Green Statue
In our studio, we meticulously hand-carved this magnificent Tara Green statue. The final radiance of the statue comes from the gold-gilded copper body. Green Tara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Serenity, is depicted seated atop a moon disc lotus flower, performing the 'Prithvi Mudra' with her right hand, symbolizing healing and spiritual balance within the body. She is also shown with her left hand performing the 'Varada Mudra,' a gesture of offering and compassion, while holding an Utpala flower.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, who reaches out and freely replies to everyone's suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
