Traditionally Hand-crafted Tara Shyam Golden Statue
The Tara Shyam Statue was carefully created in our studio using beautiful Nepalese design patterns. The Green Tara body was made of copper and covered in 24-karat pure gold. With a beautifully designed, detailed blooming lotus flower next to her head and a semi-blooming lotus flower beside her, Mother Tara is shown in the statue sitting on a moon disc lotus while holding a lotus flower stem in each hand. The gold gilding gives the figure an exceptional luster and brightness. The deity's facial characteristics have been highlighted using acrylic paint. The statue was creatively adorned with hand-carved body ornamentation, the crown, and the lotus seat. These jewels are all elegantly arranged. The figure is covered with complex patterning but keeps the statue very sleek at the very same time. It took our master artisan years to hand-carve it wholly and make it this decorative.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, who reaches out and freely replies to everyone's suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
