Traditionally Hand-carved Artwork Of Green Tara The Buddhist Goddess
The statue of Green Tara The Buddhist Goddess, was carefully constructed by hand in a Nepalese studio employing complex design patterns exclusive to the country. Mother Tara is shown in the statue, constructed of copper and covered in 24-karat pure gold, sitting on a moon disc lotus with a flowering lotus flower next to her head and a semi-blooming lotus flower behind her while holding a stem of a flowering lotus in each hand. Due to the gold gilding and acrylic paints utilized to emphasize the deity's facial characteristics, the statue has a brilliant luster and brightness. The statue was ornately decorated with precious gems, primarily on the crown and body ornaments. The statue took many months to create, as each pattern was carefully hand-carved with a hammer and chisel. The materials used in the statue are of top quality and will last for years.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, who reaches out and freely replies to everyone's suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
