Green Tara appears with her right leg stretched forward, ready to leap to the aid of those who call upon her, while her left leg rests calmly in meditation. Her right hand shows the varada mudrā, a sign of giving, and her left hand holds the vitarka mudrā, symbolizing wisdom and teaching. Each hand cradles a blooming utpala lotus, a token of purity and freedom. Green Tara, known as Shyama Tara, is one of the most beloved deities in Tibetan Buddhism. She is regarded as the embodiment of compassionate action and is often referred to as the "Mother of all Buddhas." Green Tara is believed to have been born from the compassionate tears of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), taking a female form to help liberate beings from suffering.
