This Tsokye Dorje Buddhist Statue measures 10.43 inches (26.5 cm) in height, rests upon a broad 9.65-inch (24.5 cm) base, and weighs 2.36 kg. Handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, the sculpture is formed from a copper body and enriched with luminous 24K gold gilding, detailed acrylic painting, and carefully set gemstones. The combination of radiant gold, colorful painted accents, and gemstone embellishments defines the master’s peaceful face, layered garments, sacred attributes, ornate halo, and lotus pedestal. Tsokye Dorje, whose name means “Lake-Born Vajra,” is a peaceful form of Guru Rinpoche associated with his miraculous appearance upon a lotus in Lake Dhanakosha. He is portrayed seated in a composed posture with a vajra held near his heart, symbolizing the indestructible nature of awakened awareness. His other hand rests near his lap, while a trident-topped khatvanga rises beside his shoulder as a sign of tantric realization and spiritual authority. The calm expression, richly patterned robes, ornamental headdress, and surrounding lotus motifs emphasize his enlightened and miraculous nature. The decorated halo frames his head and strengthens the sense of awakened radiance surrounding the figure. This form of Padmasambhava represents innate purity, wisdom arising beyond ordinary conditions, and the compassionate activity through which the Vajrayana teachings are transmitted.
