Lama Tsongkhapa (1357–1419), also known as Je Rinpoche, was a revered Tibetan Buddhist master whose life and teachings led to the founding of the Gelug school. A brilliant scholar and dedicated practitioner, he authored extensive commentaries on sutra and tantra, most famously the Lamrim Chenmo ("The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment").
