This Himalayan Handmade Tsongkhapa Statue, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, stands at 16.7”/42.5cm in height and 13.0”/33cm at the base, weighing 9.16 kg. It is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved details that create a magnificent 3D-like effect. Tsongkhapa is shown performing the vitarka mudrā (gesture of teaching), which involves raising his right hand. In contrast, his left hand rests in his lap in the dhyāna mudrā, symbolizing the transmission of Buddhist teachings and the act of debating. In his left hand, placed in dhyāna mudrā, he holds a kalasha (vase), representing the nectar of immortality and spiritual accomplishment. He is seen wearing monastic robes.

Tsongkhapa (1357–1419), also known as Je Tsongkhapa or Losang Drakpa, was a great Tibetan scholar, yogi, and founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism.
