This exquisite Tsongkhapa with Disciples statue stands 44 cm (17.3”) tall with a 32 cm (12.6”) base and weighs an impressive 23.79 kg. Expertly handcrafted in Nepal, it features a durable copper body richly adorned with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, intricate acrylic paintings, and carefully set gemstones. Deeply engraved carvings create a magnificent 3D-like effect, enhancing its visual depth. At the center, Je Tsongkhapa is depicted performing the Dharmachakra Mudra, symbolizing the turning of the Wheel of Dharma—a gesture of teaching and enlightenment. Flanking him on either side are his foremost disciples, Je Gyaltsab and Je Khedrup, each holding a scripture and forming the Vitarka Mudra, representing wisdom and the transmission of knowledge. Iconographically, Tsongkhapa’s yellow hat signifies the Gelug order, while the lotus seat, flaming sword, and scripture of Manjushri represent cutting through ignorance with wisdom.
