The Twenty One Tara Sculpture: A Radiant Assembly of Enlightened Compassion

This magnificent Twenty-One Tara Sculpture is meticulously handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, preserving the revered traditions of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. Standing 32.7 inches (83 cm) in height with a 27.4-inch (69.5 cm) base and weighing 10.68 kg, this extraordinary sculpture is expertly crafted from a copper body and lavishly adorned with radiant 24K gold gilding, vibrant acrylic painting, and carefully inlaid gemstones. Its grand scale, intricate detailing, and luxurious finish make it an exceptional centerpiece for Buddhist altars, temples, meditation halls, or distinguished spiritual collections.

The sculpture features the sacred assembly of the Twenty-One Taras, with Green Tara enthroned at the center and surrounded by twenty manifestations representing her enlightened qualities. Each Tara is individually sculpted with graceful posture, serene expression, and traditional hand gestures (mudras), while holding lotus flowers or other symbolic attributes according to her specific form. The central Green Tara is depicted seated in lalitasana (royal ease), with her right hand in Varada Mudra, symbolizing generosity, and her left hand in Vitarka Mudra, holding the stem of a blooming blue utpala lotus. The deities are adorned with elaborate five-jeweled crowns, celestial ornaments, flowing silk garments, hand-set gemstones, and richly decorated lotus thrones, all enhanced by brilliant 24K gold gilding and vibrant acrylic paintings. Every finely carved detail reflects the extraordinary craftsmanship and artistic mastery of skilled Nepali artisans.

Tara, the "Mother of Liberation," is revered in Vajrayana Buddhism for her swiftness in answering the calls of sentient beings. The twenty-one emanations of Tara provide specific protections and blessings, ranging from the pacification of fear and disease to the increase of wisdom and prosperity. As a collective, they symbolize the total enlightened capacity to transform suffering into peace and navigate the complexities of the path with grace and fearlessness.
