Description

Vairocana Meditation Sculpture: The Radiant Embodiment of Universal Consciousness

Expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, this Vairocana Meditation Sculpture stands 9.25” (23.5 cm) in height with a 6.1” (15.5 cm) base and weighs 1.46 kg. Carefully fashioned from an oxidized copper body, the sculpture showcases the timeless elegance of traditional Himalayan metalwork, with its rich patina enhancing every finely carved detail. Its compact size, balanced proportions, and classic finish make it a meaningful addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or sacred art collections, offering an enduring presence for contemplation and devotional practice.

Vairocana is depicted seated in the vajra posture (padmasana) upon a lotus throne, embodying perfect serenity and the all-encompassing wisdom of the Dharmakaya Buddha. His hands are held before his chest in the Dharmachakra Mudra (Gesture of Turning the Wheel of Dharma), representing the transmission of the Buddha's teachings and the continuous cycle of enlightenment. He is adorned with an ornate five-jeweled crown, celestial ornaments, and flowing silk garments that signify his enlightened Sambhogakaya form. His calm expression, symmetrical posture, and refined features emphasize meditative composure, spiritual clarity, and the harmonious balance characteristic of Vairocana's enlightened presence.
